All our visitors have free access to the wonderful facilities that are available on the Colmer estate

The grounds and gardens
The 28 acres of beautiful and peaceful private grounds gives varied habitat that makes Colmer a nature lover's paradise of meadows, woodland and water-meadows. The water gardens and lake attract hundreds of species of birds, butterflies and dragonflies. Badgers have 'sett' up home within the estate and foxes, deer, bats, squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits and occasional stray cows are among many of the animals that can be regularly spotted.

Indoor pool
The indoor pool is open and heated all year round.

Outdoor pool
The attractive and landscaped pool is heated during June, July and August. This is also where you will find the table tennis table.

Fitness suite
Above the indoor pool is a fitness gymnasium containing a good range of equipment including bicycle, treadmill, and bench press with weights.

The Lake
The fishing lake is well stocked for coarse fishing with carp and golden rudd. A minimum of 3 stands are available throughout the year. You will need to provide your own rods etc and have the appropriate fishing licence available from local post offices.

Walled garden
The walled garden and playground have been redeveloped in 2004. There are superb swings, slide, and climbing frame. We also have new picnic benches and a boules area.

The games room
This is opposite the walled garden and houses a pool table, and video games

Woodland adventure playground
This contains climbing net, tyre swings, balancing pole

Tennis court
This is an all weather tennis court. The court also has a basket ball net at one end for practicing your shots. We do have racquets for you to borrow, but better players will want to bring their own.

Croquet lawn
We did have a croquet lawn in front of the Colmer House but unfortunately the moles also found it! The gardener is working hard to regain control but if you want a challenge the croquet set is kept in the laundry room

Laundry room
There is a washing and tumble drying machine for the use of all visitors
